You may be tired of being ‘the strong one,’ holding everything together without being asked how you're really doing.

You may feeling torn between two or more worlds trying to identify where you fit in?

Struggling to show up in the world when it doesn’t seem to honor who you are and what you believe

Parts of you at times feeling burdened, overwhelmed or conflicted

Trying to meet expectations, feeling a big sense of responsability and feeling alone in the midst of it all

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone. So many of us carry these unspoken burdens. It makes sense that you feel stuck, or guilty, or unsure of who you are. You deserve a space where your story isn’t just understood, it’s honored.

Therapy isn’t about blaming your parents. It’s about understanding your story with more compassion so you can stop living only in survival mode and start living with intention, joy, and connection.

and I’ve lived many of the experiences shared above. Being first-gen comes with so much that’s hard to put into words. The weight of your parents’ sacrifices, the pressure to make them proud, the guilt of wanting something different than what they dreamed for you. It’s a lot. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent years trying to balance honoring where you come from with figuring out who you are outside of it.

I’m a first-generation Latine daughter of two Colombian immigrants who came to the U.S. in search of the American Dream. I know what it’s like to carry their resilience while also questioning the cycles that may no longer serve you. To feel both deep gratitude and quiet resentment. To be the one everyone leans on while wondering, who’s there for me?

In our work together, we’ll make space for all of it. The love, the grief, the responsibility, the longing for a life that feels like yours, not just the one expected of you. You don’t have to carry it all alone. We’ll untangle the stories, the cycles, and the weight of it all so you can move through life feeling more connected, more understood, and more at home within yourself.

Hello, I’m Sarah Rincon

As a trauma-informed, liberation-focused therapist, I take a holistic and culturally sensitive approach to healing. I see you as a whole person (mind, body, spirit, and roots) recognizing that your mental health is deeply intertwined with your relationships, community, culture, and lived experiences.
